The Lighting of the Banyan Tree

Once again, many gathered under the Banyan Tree Saturday, December 1st, when it lit up simultaneously with The Wharf Cinema Center and the Pioneer Inn to officially kick off Lahaina Town’s holiday season! Crowds gathered on Front Street as everyone was excited to witness the Lighting.

After the lighting concluded, Santa posed for pictures in his sleigh at Santa’s Corner on the Mid-Level of The Wharf, in the Courtyard area next to Amigo’s, and the holiday celebration continued on Center Stage as the Sacred Hearts School Choir, under their Instructor Lori Ulman, delivered a touching performance.

Santa is on his way back to the North Pole but he will return on Second Friday, December 14th. He will be visiting The Wharf Cinema Center for more picture taking at Santa’s Corner from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Uncle Lui will wrap up the holiday entertainment with performances on December 14, 21 & 28, from 5 to 7 p.m.

We will see you all then.

Happy Holidays to you from all of us here at The Wharf!
