Wednesday, February 21st, 11:30 a.m. – CHINESE NEW YEAR
Master Ben Seng Au and the Shaolin Arts Society return to The Wharf for their 33rd year to usher in “The Year of the Dog”. Every year the children of Lahaina look forward to Kung Fu demonstrations and the traditional Chinese Lion Dance. Firecrackers wake the hungry Lions and drums beat as the Festivities begin and the dancing Lions make their way from the Mid-Level Courtyard Restaurants through the Shopping Center to find Lai See. The public is invited to help celebrate this cherished Island Tradition that begins at 11:30 a.m. Admission is free.

Fridays, “FRIDAY NIGHT IS ART NIGHT”
takes place each Friday night from one end of Front Street to the other. Simon-Jon Gallery, located on the Mid-Level of The Wharf, is a participant.

Every Second Friday of the Month – LAHAINA TOWN PARTY
The 2nd Friday of each Month is even more special when Lahaina Town holds their Maui Town Party from 6-9 p.m. On the 2nd Friday, The Wharf provides it all – shopping with great shopping specials, dining at so many different Restaurants with international flavors to choose from, Live Entertainment on Center Stage, an Internet Cafe and 1st run movies at the triplex Theater.

Saturday and Sunday, March 10th & 11th – OCEAN ARTS FESTIVAL
Lahaina celebrates the annual migration of the Pacific Humpback Whales with the Ocean Arts Festival in Banyan Tree Park from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. Whale Researchers educational presentations and videos will be shown in Campbell Park located next to The Wharf Cinema Center. On Saturday and Sunday at Banyan Tree Park, whale research groups will be available to educate anyone interested in learning more about the magnificent creatures. Artists display their finest marine-themed art pieces for sale, and everyone enjoys Hawaiian entertainment, a kids ocean art contest, whale photo displays and a “Creature Feature” touch pool exhibit by Maui Ocean Center. Admission is free.

Friday, April 13th, 5-7 p.m. – COOL CAT CAFE BIRTHDAY & CLASSIC CAR SHOW
Join Cool Cat Cafe as they celebrate their 15th Anniversary at The Wharf with the 6th annual Classic Car Show and Lahaina town party. The event happens along Front Street and features food, live music, and over 100 classic cars. Admission free.

Saturday & Sunday, April 21st & 22nd – BANYAN TREE BIRTHDAY
Planted on April 24, 1873, Lahaina’s famous Banyan Tree celebrates 145 years of good health, fame and glory. The celebration includes a birthday cake, a magician, live music, a silent Auction, Keiki games, as well as nature-inspired artworks by local artists. There’s something fun for everyone, including hands-on art activities for children. Visitors and residents fill Banyan Square to pay their respect to the venerable tree during this annual celebration. Admission is free.

Saturday, June 16th – NA KAMEHAMEHA PA’U PARADE & HO’OLAULE’A
Pa’u riders and princesses on horseback, decorated with flowers and colors representing each of the Islands, parade down Front Street at this annual parade honoring the king who united the Hawaiian Islands, King Kamehameha. There are marching bands, floats, decorated vehicles, and walking units for all of Lahaina to enjoy. A festival and awards ceremony takes place after the parade an Banyan Park. Beginning at approximately 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., activities are scheduled at Banyan Park. The parade starts at 9:45 a.m. from Papalaua Street, ending at Kamehameha Iki Park.

Wednesday, July 4th – INDEPENDENCE DAY
With grandeur and style, The Wharf Cinema Center pays tribute to our country. Flags are flown, and The Wharf Cinema Center is decorated in red, white and blue in honor of Independence Day. The Wharf Restaurants serve 4th of July Specials, and everyone waits in anticipation for the 8 p.m. fireworks show.
